\nDheisheh Refugee Camp is a Palestinian refugee camp located just south of Bethlehem in the Occupied West Bank. Dheisheh was established in 1949 as a temporary refuge for Palestinians who were expelled from their ancestral lands west of Jerusalem and Hebron during the 1948 Nakba. Over 15,000 refugees now live in Dheisheh.<\/span><\/p>\n

PLAYBACK THEATRE<\/p>\n

Audience members share autobiographical accounts and watch as a team of actors and musicians instantly transform these accounts into improvised theatre pieces. Playback Theatre provides opportunity for community building, collective reflection, cultural activism, and trauma recovery.<\/p>\n
