\nThe Freedom Theatre is looking to fill the following volunteer positions in 2016:
\nTHEATRE<\/strong><\/span>
\nVoice Teacher
\n<\/strong>Feb 1 to March 30,\u00a0July 7 to August 30, 2016
\nWe are looking for a voice teacher\/coach that could give intermediate voice and speech classes to third-year students in our\u00a0professional training in Acting, Devising and Cultural Resistance. The voice teacher should also be able to mentor an assistant trainee in voice. Working experience in this field is required.
\nDance workshop leader
\n<\/strong>July 7 to August 30, 2016
\nVolunteer to hold a two-week dance workshop, 4 hours a day in the areas of contemporary\/classical\/hip-hop. Skills in choreography will be prioritized. Working experience in teaching is essential. After the workshop, the volunteer will support one of our productions involving third-year Theatre School students,\u00a0assisting the director in movement and choreography.
\nPuppet theatre workshop leader
\n<\/strong>July 7 to August 30, 2016
\nVolunteer to hold a two-week puppet-making and puppet theatre workshop 4 hours a day. Working experience in teaching is essential. After the workshop, the volunteer will support one of our productions involving third-year Theatre School students, building together with the students the puppets for the show and assisting the director in puppet movement.
\nSet designer
\n<\/strong>July 7 to August 30, 2016
\nVolunteer to support one of our productions involving third-year Theatre School students, designing and building together with our set design trainee the set for the show, working with the whole production team. Experience in teaching will be prioritised.
\nCostume designer

\nVolunteer to support one of our productions involving third-year Theatre School students, designing and building together with a trainee the costumes for the show, working with the whole production team. Experience in teaching will be prioritised.

\nWe need a volunteer to conduct advanced set design training at The Freedom Theatre in Jenin. Experience in teaching is required.

\nWe need a volunteer to conduct sound design training at The Freedom Theatre in Jenin. Experience in teaching is required.

Photography & text book designer
\n<\/strong>December 2015-March 2016
\n<\/strong>The Freedom Theatre marks its ten-year anniversary in 2016 and we will publish a book to illustrate\u00a0our first ten years. We are looking for a book designer to\u00a0<\/span>work closely with our team to\u00a0design the book, which will be unconventional in its form, combining text, illustrations and photography. This task can preferably be done at the theatre in Jenin but if that is not possible the book can also be designed from a distance. We are looking to start working on it\u00a0as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

\nDesigning book of portraits.<\/p>\n

Product designer
\n<\/strong>December 2015-March 2016
\n<\/strong>Help us design a line\u00a0of products unique to The Freedom Theatre, including\u00a0t-shirts, tote bags, note books, etc. This task can be done from a distance or at the theatre in Jenin.<\/p>\n

Photography trainer<\/strong>
\nMay 2016
\nWe are looking for a volunteer to conduct two weeks\u00a0intensive,\u00a0medium-level\u00a0training for young adults at The Freedom Theatre in Jenin. Photography teacher training required.<\/p>\n

Filmmaker<\/strong>
\nMarch 2016
\nDuring the Freedom Ride, March 21 to April 1, we need a volunteer to film and preferably also edit a short documentary film after the ride.<\/p>\n

Subtitle translator
\n<\/strong>Spring 2016
\nThe Freedom Theatre’s documentary\u00a0film Journey of a Freedom Fighter<\/em> is available in English and in Arabic. We are looking for volunteers to translate this 30-minute film to other languages. This task can be done from a distance, preferably in the first half of 2016.<\/p>\n

WordPress developer
\n<\/strong>January-March 2016
\n<\/strong>We are in the process of launching a new website and need help with the finishing touches. This task can be done from a distance or at the theatre in Jenin.<\/p>\n

Integrating systems
\n<\/strong>First half of 2016
\nWe are working on various social media channels\u00a0and need to integrate them with platforms such as mailchimp and salesforce. We also need to\u00a0develop google app contacts & forms (see below).\u00a0This task can preferably be done at the theatre in Jenin and continued from a distance.<\/p>\n

Google apps specialist
\n<\/strong>First half of 2016
\n<\/strong>Set up and train staff on google apps for non-profits.\u00a0This task needs to\u00a0be done at the theatre in Jenin.<\/p>\n

Apple-certified Mac technician
\n<\/strong>2016
\n<\/strong>We are looking for someone to give training at the theatre for setting up an Apple-authorised service provider in Jenin.<\/p>\n

Fundraising specialist
\n<\/strong>December 2015-2016
\n<\/strong>The fundraising specialist will produce proposals and reports to donors and also train local staff in fundraising. Experience in grant-writing is required, preferably also experience in online fundraising.\u00a0This volunteer position is ongoing and can be adjusted to the amount of time you are able to contribute. It can preferably be done at the theatre in Jenin but also from a distance.<\/p>\n

Translator
\n<\/strong>December 2015-2016
\n<\/strong>Arabic-English and English-Arabic text translation. This task can be done at the theatre in Jenin or from a distance. This volunteer position is ongoing and can be adjusted to the amount of time you are able to contribute.<\/p>\n

VOLUNTEER NEEDS DURING 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

From\u00a0March 21 and April 9, 2016, The Freedom Theatre will mark its ten-year anniversary with a number of events, including a Freedom Ride through Occupied Palestine, a Theatre Festival and a Forum on Cultural Resistance.\u00a0We are looking for copywriters, social media specialists, workshop facilitators and translators during the whole period of the Anniversary. We are also in need of theatre technicians (sound, light) during the second half of the Anniversary, from April 1 to 9.
