His room seems familiar but is disconnected from the world. The balance of power shifts between them and Aston\u2019s brother, Mick, as the stranger slowly attempts to take over the house.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Soon we understand that the characters are fighting for survival and searching for some sense of identity in a world that is constantly changing and unreliable.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-ft=\"{&quot;type&quot;:1,&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\">The Freedom Theatre\u2019s latest in-house production,<em> The Caretaker<\/em>, is an adaptation of Harold Pinter\u2019s celebrated play,\u00a0performed by the Acting School students and directed by Nabil Al-Raee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The Caretaker<\/em> is a psychological study of family relationships and the struggle for power between two brothers, Mick and Aston, and a stranger that Aston brings home. At first the stranger seems to be a victim but slowly he attempts to take over the house. Each of the characters is fighting for survival and searching for some sense of identity in a world that is constantly changing and unreliable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The Caretaker<\/em>\u00a0is serious and funny, but underneath the action is an undercurrent of fear.
