The Grants and Development Manager will work closely with the Finance Department, Communications Officer, and Managing Director.\u00a0 The Grants &amp; Development Manager will be responsible for the Development Department, which at times may include volunteers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Location<br \/>\n<\/b>Jenin Refugee Camp, Palestine<\/p>\n<p><b>Donor Relations<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Managing Director and other Development staff in building relationships with prospective donors<\/li>\n<li>Write grant applications in collaboration with the Programme Teams<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and up to date records in the donor database<\/li>\n<li>Manage the schedule and production of donor reporting<\/li>\n<li>Manage \u2018thank you\u2019 letters and other donor acknowledgements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Development Marketing<\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Run direct mail campaigns each year (number to be determined); write appeal letters, pull donor list from database and coordinate mailings.\u00a0 Run additional campaigns based on GlobalGiving calendar<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with communications team on online campaigns, annual report, and other donor communication materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Finance and Reporting <\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Create development projections, to facilitate growth year from year<\/li>\n<li>Generate regular reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>General <\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Contribute ideas to planning and strategy sessions with management<\/li>\n<li>Attendance at morning meetings and staff meetings when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Programme Teams to stay up to date and informed on all projects<\/li>\n<li>Work with relevant staff and Finance Team to ensure accurate tracking of income and maintain an awareness of expenses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Qualifications <\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Outstanding writing and proofreading skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prepare budget information for proposals and reports<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Salesforce or other donor database\/platform or a desire to learn<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>Available to work a flexible schedule as needed.\u00a0 This position is full-time requiring timely attendance<\/li>\n<li>Consistent attention to detail and accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree required, Master\u2019s preferred<\/li>\n<li>Previous grant writing experience required (minimum 3 years\u2019 experience although preference will be given to candidates with at least 5 years successful grant writing experience)<\/li>\n<li>This position requires an excellent command of both Arabic and English<\/li>\n<li>Background in, or knowledge of, theatre arts preferred but not required<\/li>\n<li>This position is open to Palestinian nationals or other person with the legal right to live and work in the West Bank (applicant who will need to do a visa run every three months will not be considered)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>To Apply<br \/>\n<\/b>Please send cover letter (describing why you\u2019re the best person for this job), CV, and two writing samples (no more than 2 pages) from previous successful proposals to <a href=\"mailto:info@thefreedomtheatre.org\">info@thefreedomtheatre.org<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 Please put Grants and Development Manager in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Freedom Theatre is looking for a\u00a0Grants and Development Manager.
