We need an Executive Producer to join us at The Freedom Theatre in Jenin Refugee Camp.
Job Description:
The Executive Producer is a key member of staff and will contribute towards overall management decisions, the creation of an organizational strategic plan, and general staff and board oversight.
Main responsibilities:
Collect relevant information to build the program of TFT and finalize it with the General Manager
Insure each project has a budget and that it is adhered to under the financial structure of TFT
Work with the Resource Development Department to ensure all necessary information from project leaders is obtained so as to allow for the timely submission of grant proposals.
Manage project deadlines from inception, to funding, implementation and delivery
Ensure each project has the necessary support and facilities to deliver its goals
Work with the Resource Development Department to ensure compliance with grant requirements
With the General Manager install and manage systems of good working practice for staff at TFT including Health & Safety
Requirements:
Have the right to live and work in Palestine
3 years minimum experience in producing theatre and/or Arts Management
An in-depth knowledge of the situation in Palestine particularly in the arts
Working knowledge of excel, word and other office tools
Experience running budgets
Excellent time management skills
Excellent computer literacy
Strong diplomatic skills
Ability to work in an international team
Ability to work and make decisions in busy and stressful environments
Desired:
Excellent written and spoken English
Excellent written and spoken Arabic
Minimum 6 years experience in producing theatre and or Arts Management
A University or relevant degree in Arts Management or similar field
A good knowledge of The Freedom Theatre and its work
Pay scale:
For non Palestinian citizens the position has a starting salary of 3500NIS.
For Palestinian citizens liable for tax & End of Service the starting salary will be 4000NIS due to allow for these payments.
Increases in salary will be determined due to the financial situation of TFT and the development of the individual and their role.
The successful candidate will be expected to live in Jenin. Any time off must be agreed upon well in advance and fit into the schedule of work at The Freedom Theatre (unless an emergency). The theatre will provide housing, if needed. If you are not happy with the housing that The Freedom Theatre provides you may seek other accommodation at your own cost.
You will be given the full entitlements due to you in Palestinian workers law and nothing outside of this.
