Eyad Hourani, graduate of our Theatre School, will be going to the Oscars this year! Eyad stars in the film Omar, nominated for best foreign language film. Alf mabrouk Eyad and the whole Omar team!
Omar is a powerful political thriller interwoven with a tragic love story set against the backdrop of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. It is directed by Hany Abu-Assad, known for the 2005 award-winning film “Paradise Now”. Omar broke new ground as the first film fully funded by individual Palestinians and Palestinian businesses. The film has already won several awards, among them the Cannes Festival Jury Prize.
