In 2015 The Freedom Theatre will tour Britain for the first time.
To launch this tour our UK Friends will have a screening of Arna’s Children as well as a Q&A about The Freedom Theatre and Juliano Mer Khamis’ work. The event will take place on March 2 at 5:30 pm, at the Courthouse Hotel London, 19-21 Great Marlborough Street, W1F7HL London.
Momin Swaitat, actor and graduate of The Freedom Theatre School, and Zoe Lafferty, Associate Director of The Freedom Theatre, will lead the discussion.
Arna’s Children was a documentary directed by Juliano Mer Khamis that tells the story of a Palestinian theatre group that was established by his mother Arna in Jenin in the late 80’s. Juliano went on to co-found The Freedom Theatre in 2006, leading its artistic vision until he was murdered in 2011.
All proceeds will go to The Freedom Theatre’s UK tour.
