We begin this Eid holiday by sharing the good news that Zakaria Zubeidi, co-founder and avid supporter of The Freedom Theatre, is finally home with his family after being imprisoned by the Palestinian Authority for more than three months.
Unfortunately Zakaria is not yet free, he has been temporarily released over the Eid holiday, after he and six other prisoners started a full hunger strike protesting the lack of due process in their cases. On Wednesday, August 22, Zakaria has to return to prison to attend a court hearing.

Zakaria has been imprisoned for over 110 days without any accusations put forward against him. He is notably affected by the time in prison, which involved severe mistreatment and abuse.

The Freedom Theatre strongly urges everyone to continue campaigning for Zakaria’s full release.
