As Israel’s assault on Gaza goes on and the deaths, injuries and destruction continue, we encourage you to join the thousands of people around the world who are protesting. Signing petitions, writing letters, organizing demonstrations and collecting funds are some ways to take action to stop these horrific attacks and to send support to the people of Gaza.

Here are some suggestions:

Make a donation or organize a fundraiser in your community. Our partner Middle East Children’s Alliance (Meca) is currently collecting emergency donations for Gaza. Find out how you can donate.

Hold a rally or vigil in a public space and invite local news media. There may be actions already planned in your area, some are included in this listing of protests and demonstrations around the world.

The Freedom Theatre and other Palestinian cultural institutions have issued a call in solidarity with Gaza and several well-known artists have come out in support of Palestine and Gaza. Help us spread our call to cultural organisations and artists around the world.
If you are a cultural worker in the US, also consider adding your voice in support of Palestinian cultural workers by signing this statement.

Nobel laureates Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Adolfo Peres Esquivel, Jody Williams, Mairead Maguire, Rigoberta Menchú and Betty Williams have published an open letter calling on the UN and governments around the world to impose a military embargo on Israel. Add your name to the call.

EU citizens can also urge the EU to suspend the association agreement with Israel.

If you are an academic, The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel encourages you to join the many universities and colleges who support academic boycott – especially as Israeli academic institutions are deeply involved in creating the weapons and technologies being used on Palestinians in Gaza right now. Endorse the academic and cultural boycott of Israel here.

Find out more about the Palestinian Boycott, Divestments and Sanctions movement and how you can use BDS to support Gaza.
