‘Art and Community’ (original title Arte e Comunidade in Portuguese), a book co-written by The Freedom Theatre’s Micaela Miranda, will be launched in Lisbon, Portugal, on June 5th. In the book, Micaela Miranda talks about The Freedom Theatre’s work, the power of theatre in personal change and how change starts from the individual and from there to the society. Micaela Miranda is head of The Freedom Theatre School, a three-year professional acting training program. She is also a teacher in Movement and Physical Theatre Teacher, and has co-directed several productions at The Freedom Theatre. Micaela has been with The Freedom Theatre since 2008. She has vast experience in teaching Physical Theatre and Mask all around the world as well as a certificate from Ecole Internationale Jacques Lecoq.
