We start off the summer season at The Freedom Theatre with a theatre play, storytelling and a photo exhibition. After Ramadan we will organise summer camps in drama, photography and drawing. More to come soon!

June 13&14: Storytelling performances
Our Theatre School students invite the children of Jenin to two days of storytelling. The stories are well-known; Cinderella, Aladdin, Child goes to camp (by Ghassan Kanafani), but told in a new way. “These stories will make you go to new places or maybe just on another trip into the camp. Stories told only with hands, or hats or newspapers, and stories that are made with only gestures.”

June 14&15: Theatre play – Chaos in the city
The Freedom Theatre is hosting a theatre play written and directed by our former Theatre School student Batoul Taleb. Chaos in the City is about an oppressed city that decides to rise up for its rights which have been taken away by an evil king. The play tells the story of a group of youth who fight for what they love, providing hope, courage and dignity. June 10 and 14, at 17:00.

June 15: Photography exhibition
Our current photography students will showcase their work in an exhibition called Feelings, on June 15 at 10:00 to 14:00.

July 26: Drawing & painting workshop
Haifa Salah, a former student at The Freedom Theatre, will lead a two-week drawing and painting workshop with 10 participants.
