Jenin refugee camp mourns yet another young man shot dead in the night by occupation forces. His name is Mohammed Mahmoud Abu Khalifeh. He was 19 years old. May he rest in peace.

Mohammed Mahmoud Abu Khalifeh was the eighth Palestinian killed by Israeli occupation forces since the beginning of 2017. He was killed during a nightly raid of Jenin refugee camp by the Israeli occupation forces where at least five other youth were injured. These nightly raids are very common in Jenin refugee camp as well as in other camps, cities and villages in occupied Palestine. Army vehicles storm the area, clashes erupt with local youth who throw stones or home-made explosives and are met with aggressive force in the form of live fire, rubber-coated steel bullets, stun grenades and tear gas, often resulting in serious and sometimes fatal injuries. Rights groups have routinely condemned Israeli authorities for their use of excessive force against Palestinians, including minors, during incidents that did not warrant a violent response.
