In October 2019, students from The Freedom Theatre’s acting school embarked on an experimental Freedom Bus tour. Led by resident artist and theatre graduate Faisal Abu Alhayjaa, the group visited some of the most oppressed areas of the West Bank, including the Jordan Valley and Hebron.
During the four-day tour, students gathered stories and transformed their experiences into short theatrical presentations using playback theatre techniques. The journey proved to be an enriching, emotional, and inspiring experience for all participants, helping them develop skills they will continue to refine in preparation for the 10-day Freedom Ride scheduled for April 2020.
