The Freedom Theatre is thrilled to announce its role as the official producer of the feature documentary film, “Kids of Jenin Camp.”
“Kids of Jenin Camp” is a long-term documentary that follows the daily lives of ten children growing up in Jenin Refugee Camp. Palestinian filmmaker and journalist Ismael Jabarine began this project in 2013, first sitting down with the boys and girls, then only nine years old, who shared astonishing stories about what life in the camp truly means.
The documentary aims to reveal how the harsh and inhumane conditions of the camp impact the emotional, mental, and physical development of these children. As Jabarine explains, “The kids of Jenin Camp are exemplary for millions of children worldwide who suffer from ongoing conflicts.”
The Freedom Theatre will support the film during its final filming in March 2020, and will assist in securing resources and film grants to ensure its completion.
