On Friday August 17, 2007 The Freedom Theatre, Birthright Unplugged and Voices Beyond Walls present a photography exhibition and film screening, The Return, at The Freedom Theatre in Jenin Camp.
Three projects are being presented at this event. Children who took part in a Birthright Unplugged trip to Jerusalem, Haifa and surrounding villages, where their families were expelled from in 1948, present photographs they took during the visit.
The young participants of a recent video documentation project, Dreaming in Palestine (organised by Voices Beyond Walls and supported by HOPING Foundation) present their short films, whereas the third project being presented is a creative writing and photography project called Refuge. Works produced as part of Refuge have been compiled into a book and are now being presented in the form of a photography display and poetry reading.
