This 3-day intensive workshop will give the participants experience, skills and knowledge for effective Playback Theatre performance.
In particular, we will: Hone our ability to attune to the Teller and their story; Practice techniques that develop artistry and truthfulness on stage; Practice the structure and “ritual” required for public performance; Learn how to use Playback for trauma response and political advocacy.
In addition, we will focus on voice development, ensemble work and improvisation. We will work specifically with Litwak’s Voice Warm Up Progression, Litwak’s Creative Voicing technique, Viewpoints and Composition work – methods that enable advanced listening and creative freedom on stage.
